✓ Supported File Types for Direct Merging
Plain Text & Stream Data: Text files (logs, text documents, source code, etc.) and raw binary streams without complex container headers (such as PCM audio data, sensor bin/raw streams, and split chunks) maintain contiguous byte order after concatenation, ensuring perfect lossless recreation and direct parsing.
✕ File Types Not Suitable for Direct Concatenation & Why
Why can't they be physically merged? Formats like PDF, Word documents, images (JPG/PNG), audio/video (MP3/MP4), and archive files follow strict structural specifications with individual headers, cross-reference tables (Xref), container indexes, and compressed streams. Simply appending raw bytes breaks internal metadata, causing readers or players to report "corrupted file". Merging these formats requires specialized decoding synthesizers.
